Beeline Design ‘Flow Table’
Designers: Adam Brislin & Lucy Grant
Cabinetmaker Adam started Beeline Design after receiving multiple requests for bespoke pieces. Two years later, Lucy came on board, taking on the business side of the Melbourne-based brand. “We turned our focus to developing our first collection,” says Lucy. “We mostly work with sustainably sourced timber, but with each new range we introduce a new material, which serves as the ‘hero’ of the collection.” In the past this has been copper, brass, leather – and this time it’s powder-coated steel.
The ‘Flow’ table (above) features a Tasmanian oak top and legs, supported by the steel frame in a playful Seafoam colour. “We called it Flow as a reference to the details where the leg and top should traditionally intersect.” says Lucy. “The top appears to be floating, creating a detail at this corner junction.”
The pair is committed to creating investment pieces that don’t adhere to a particular style. “Our pieces evolve within their environment.” says Lucy. “They become classics in their own right.”
